Question about FP Guage

Would i really need one for my turbo set up?

do i realy HAVE to have it...i thought the FMU did all the work for that anyway.

Yes and Yes.

Would you want to blow an engine because something in the fuel system isn't working and you didn't spend and extra $100 or so and a FP guage?

I vote for yes......

EGT can't tell you everything...my aux pump was off few months ago and all I can see is the EGT gets hot very fast. If I have a FP gauge....I will see the FP at WOT will drop if the aux pump is off.

fuel pressure at WOT = a * b + c/2
a = your boost pressure
b = your FMU ratio, 8 if your FMU is 8:1
c = FP at idle.

you have to monitor both air pressure and fuel pressue for a turbo car.
