Auto is biting the dust
Started slipping last night... and seems to be searching for gears...
Anyhoo... My plan is to get the act clutch asap... and pickup the rest of the parts for the conversion. As far as the setup goes... I'm going to run redline synth. gear oil... Anything else I should do especially for the sc? Is their such thing as a better clutch fluid?...
Also i've already got a pacesetter sts... What do you sc'd/turbo'd guys normally have it set to as far as the throw goes..?
Any and all info will be appreciated.

I have my pacesetter set on ~70%+ shorter throws. Stiff, but very short throws. I am using regular gear oil.
I have a question for you...your still on stock injectors/internals right? Becuase i'm about to upgrade to the 3.125 and want to make sure my stock injectors will be ok. Didn't you tell me you even hit 11psi once?

Welcome to the club.. I went to the track today (for the last time with this tranny) and wondered how/why my car was missing/cutting at the top of 2nd... until I noticed it was actually not even trying to shift until it was too late... and slipping at that.
So much for breaking into the 13's with the stock tranny... but she's still fine most of the time
Ah yes, and torque steer... the car had a mind of its own.. I was juicing the steering wheel trying to keep the car as straight as I could.. VLSD or not... silly 2.4x 60ft's lol

exactly... if the car's not at exact operating temperature and i keep my foot steady on the gas... it keeps switching between a lower gear and OD... very odd.. my gas mileage is down to 16 mph... sx7r's is more like 21 with his turbo.
Occasionally, I'll give the car gas, and it takes a second to engage and actually move forward..

seems like auto and boost is not getting along. sorry to hear about this.btw, have you tried to replace your ATF? sometimes it gets better after new ATF is replaced.

Ben : 1100 for a high milage tranny is a lot IMO. IIRC, kevin got his brand new vlsd tranny for 1700. he tried to find one from junk yard and turned out there were too many manual AE max in there.
Re: Re: Re: Auto is biting the dust
Dude that's nuts.. I beat my car like no tomorrow and I'm still on the original tranny.. higher mileage at that too...
What fluid do you use? I think that's the key to keeping your abused Nissan tranny alive!
