Porting headers...

Worth it? I'll never have a better oppertunity to do this than now: before I put the new engine in the car.

Any ideas on cost? Is this something that could be a DIY project?

you can easily do it yourself- i did it but i only port matched the flanges--keep in mind that a completly open exhaust raises hp but lowers torque--youll want to have tq especially with a cent. s/c

Also...I realize that there may not be a lot in gains, as Don In Texas has already proven...however, I can't imagine it would hurt. Loosing a _little_ torque wouldn't necessarly be a bad thing.

The more I think of it...is there any point to porting the intake manifold or exhaust manifolds if I don't port the heads as well?
