Yea....we went to the auto parts store and figured it out pretty quick.

We got a Dayco Poly Cog belt, 5060695. The guy said this is the next best thing to a Goodyear Gatorback. It appeared to be of good quality, it's at least twice as thick as my old shredded belt, with thick blocks to hug the ribs.

The first thing I noticed was the whine my car now has with this belt. When I first cranked it up and eased into first, I got this whine that sounds VERY similer to the Eaton Roots Type blower on the 2003 SVT Cobra, sounds like a shreeking howl. I love it. The belt howl seems louder on cold starts. It also becomes audible at WOT or hard acceleration, especially in first gear. So I get the crickets below 2k rpm and an Eaton Roots type howl thereafter.

Acceleration feels a bit more responsive and revvier. If this belt shreds then we know something is really wrong...
