How long a NEW engine before...

you can boost again.

I figure 1000-1500 mile what do you guys think?

Usually, as a rule of thumb, any "break-in" period for any major "artery" on a car is 1000+ miles. That will give it time to do its thing. I would saiy that anything over the 1000+ mile mark, you are good to go. But, if you want to be safe, you can extend it to 2000+......yeah right lol....
