Lower compression pistions

I am coming from the SR20DE crowd, and I know a lot of the turbo guys over there are running much higher boost than you guys. Many of them switch to lower compression/forged pistons to run more boost.

I'm not too familar with the VQ pistions, but would if they are domed, could you mill or the dome, are at least buy some lower compression pistions so you guys could run some more boost.

It seems like a waste to me to spend all the money on a turbo/blower kit when you can only safely run 5-6 PSI.

10:1 is a very high compression ratio, and if you lowered that, then it would allow you guys to run more boost safely.

Just a thought, I have no idea if it is actually helpful.

You can run lower compression/forged/dished/domed etc.. pistons. But swapping pistons on a V6 is not the same as swapping them in a I-4. Well it IS the same procedure but getting the V6 out is a little harder than a I-4.

10 psi is no problem on stock internals.

11-14 with good tuning is also doable.
