BOV - it did not fire @ 10psi?
recently I noticed that my BOV doesnt sound like it's working at high boost. usually at 5psi of boost....it sounds like psssssssssssssshhhhhhhht zooooooooooooooooooo. but now at 10psi and close the throttle, it sound like psssshttt. It is a lot shorter than before and I have not clue what caused it. it's because I closed the throttle too fast? I am now worried that it might damage the blower soon in the future.
what would I noticed when the BOV is not open at high boost?
it's my BOV dead?
if so, can I lubricate it with something?
thx

thx dixit for your reply....I will give greddy a call today to see if I can do anything about it.
nope. if it didnt release, there will be a lag if I tried to give it some gas after 10psi, right?

Got another BOV you can try out (oh wait, it's probably welded on, huh ) This one sounds somewhat busted up!

in the end, I might have to send it back to Greddy for inspection thru my friend's shop. the flange is welded on but the BOV can be taken off. If I do it this way, I will have to get a loaner BOV from someone, somewhere. or I can go with no BOV and be really gentle on the pedal.

Weird how it just "happened". Too loose... I'd get mighty suspicious of my friends and close ones. Your BOV is just like your woman - if someone else tightens or loosens, it will be noticed.

Hi Jer....I tried Kevin's method yesterday and I didnt noticed any lag. I boost up to 8psi and I did let go off the pedal and didnt hear much BOV. I quickly tap the gas again and It still go. I dunno if my BOV Is too loose or too tight. I checked the vacuum hose too, it is in good condition.
