Gas mileage after boost...

I was wondering if your boost whether its T/C or S/C made your gas mileage per tank significantly decrease?

I can see how it would but I dont know for sure.

I know for a fact that everyone drives faster and harder w/ the boost, therefore it will decrease.......but what are the actual stats?

S/C will go down
Turbo should go up
All assuming "maximizing mpg" driving practices.

Hal, what ratio is your new 5th gear?

3MPG geeez do you have a Chevron VIP card

I got over 350 miles to 3/4 of a tank driving to New Orleans I was averaging 80-95MPH on the freeway. Stopped only once in Missippi to use the bathroom but refueled.

But the question is after you pedal your BMX bicycle every 6 blocks how many gallons of water do you consume

.740 vs the stock 5th gear is .795. not crazy difference, but enough.
on my stock wheel/tire @6500rpm I believe this gives me 160.0mph top speed on stock 5th gear, and 171.9mph on new/broken 5th gear... or 177.17mph top speed at 6700rpm (right before fuel cut)

I blew that transmission up though (cryo treated, LSD'd, and all) about two weeks ago. Apparently cryo treatment wont even protect 3rd gear - and I wasn't even shifting or spraying, and generally go rather easy on 3rd gear just in fear. I am running just a city+highway mpg test right now as I filled up yesterday, so we'll see. So far being on stock gears, I dont miss 1st and 2nd being shorter at all, but I do miss that 5th gear a lot - I just feel like I am beating up the car when I'm on the highway now

bags, I feel ya on 15mpg. 36 was on my CA->KY trip so I definately wasnt playing much, just cruisin at 80.. normally I'd say I'm close to single digits bc of a heavy foot and very playful spirit.

I still get mid-twenties if I drive conservatively.

60% highway, 20% highway stop+go, 20% city.
