Missing tube. Vacuum hose?

I was changing the oil the other week and I noticed a bronze tube sticking out near the throttle body that looked like it should have a hose connected to it. Right now it doesn't, nor could I find anything nearby that looked like it should slide on to it. Anyone know what the heck it is?

It's in the area of the red circle.

Hrmph I would have thought it needed that. Guess not.

I'll post a pic of it tommorow if my friend brings his digital camera to work, just to be 100% sure.

That is your fuel pressure regulator line, but it looks connected to me. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up? If so, are you seeing high(er) numbers?

Without that vacuum line connected, the FPR is simulating WOT fuel pressure, even at idle and 1/4,1/3,1/2, etc throttle. So that needs to be fixed as to not foul out your plugs.....

That's not my car in the pictures. Don't have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up either, just boost & EGT. (ya ya I know I need a FP gauge hehe) Want to remind me where the other end of that hose is? Everything looks like it's already hooked up properly, I may have something plugged in to the wrong thing

I haven't checked the plugs recently but I'll pick up a new set of coppers and replace them since it's like $12 for a set, as well as fix the hose. I recently replaced my cat with a straight pipe, and I assumed the fuel stinkiness was that. Perhaps I can get my stinkmobile to smell a little better. Thanks!

Yep, that is DEFINITELY the problem, and explaining your gas-smelly exhaust. Let us know how it goes if you fix it tomorrow or so....

Unless it's something that was previously connected it might take me acouple of days. I'm going to have to round up a T-adapter and some properly sized hose to get it on right unless I find a hose hooked up for vacuum flapping around somewhere

Thanks again for your diagnosis guys, hope to see some power gained back when just cruising around.

I looked through some stuff and established that it's NOT the actual FPR tubing which is unhooked, but the nozzle to the direct right of it. It's been a while since I read anything on the whole SC installation but I looked it over and it would appear that it's suppose to be like that. I guess it doesn't pay to snooze while the other guy installing the SC with you works with the fuel system.
