Need Help Deciding on Turbo!!!

Well first off, I finally got a ood paying job, around 500 every 2 weeks, So Ive decided to get these mods,

1. Transmision Cooler,
2. VB Mod
3. MEVI
4. Turbo with Boost Controller, and ofcourse Uped Fuel Line Capacity

With this set up I will need 3 INCH piping all around right? And what turbo kit should I get? All of this should cost around 8k at the most to right? Thanx for the help who ever can give it

Scratch the VB mod, scratch that auto tranny off your car completely. You can do as you please but having downtime on your car because it wont handle 7PSI plus will suck. This is also my opinion about turbo on an auto, the power does not completely transfer to the wheels like a manual tranny does. In all the auto tranny is not good for boosting. SMX was spraying a 50 shot, he did it maybe 3-4 times tranny started slipping, if you have any more doubts PM baggs hes an auto turbo max.

Damn, sounds like I have to look for a 5spd now. There is no possibile way to go over 7psi with auto? How bout if I got a TQ Converter? What about a Supercharger with Intercooler? Or should I get a 5spd Conversion?

I had the VB mod, tranny cooler.. and my tranny was doing ok.. it would slip at partial throttle under boost in 3rd and 4th gear.

Well that was @ 6psi.. I turned it up to 8 and now reverse, 1st and 2nd no longer work. My car starts out in 3RD gear. Kinda hard to drive it that way, although I have ...

If you want to keep your auto there are things yo can do, but the cost would run you about $1500-$2500 . You could get a 5-spd for that much.

And the 5spd will break... but if you treat it right and get the correct clutch, it can handle 350 WHP/TQ night and day.

My 2 cents

Listen to him he knows. Also theres another member who has deep love and feelings for his auto, he beefed up and paid over 2K for that, guess what? it broke again and again. So hes on his 3rd tranny. If you have that type of cash and down time go on ahead, but your warned of the consequences and you have examples of what happened. 50 shot NOS is nothing, 6PSI is not much and 6PSI from a supercharger is not much either. The decision is up to you now. My advice get a 5 speed max or swap out what your auto out.

Ha that would be cool if they super automatic trannys for our car like they do for others, But Im looking for a 5spd now, Went and Test drove one today, But there were too many miles, 92k miles!!! My car is only 52k. But anyways if you guys find a nice 5spd around Chicago dont be afraid to PM me or something, My AIM handel is AssyrianTSRacer. I would do a 5spd mod but too much time and money that i currently dont have. Wish I was Bill Gates for a second. then I would have a 1 second Maxima lol. Thnx for the advise guys

Corey(redmax)'s auto tranny was rebuilt by NRH here in MD...they claim it will stand up to the rigors of high boost...I'm not sure how many Maximas they have done in the past, but once Corey is back on the road we will see how it holds up. PM him for the details ...apparently they go all out on it.

I have 2 friends using Level 10 trannys, one in his turbo 3rd gen(not running yet again) and another has been going 2 years now on his Level 10(100 shot, Accord)...I know they get a lot of bad press, but I've only seen quality come from their corner.
