Idle questions...

Upon startup the car will idle around 1100-1300 (depending on length of time the car has been without a start) and will idle there for about 2-3 minutes until it starts to rev up and down between 800-1100 for about a minute or so. Even if I start driving the idle will continue to stay high and I can basically keep the car in 1st gear without using the clutch and it's almost like an automatic idle. After about 5 minutes of letting the car sit and idle it will drop down to 700-800 and idle normally from there on out.

We did not make a 1/8" bung for a vacumm line in the piping before the mafs and I do have a check engine light (13-02) for a MAPS/Baro Sensor.

I have taken the car to Nissan and had the code run, but the sensor it talks of seems to be fine, although I haven't tested it throughout and I haven't tried to replace it.

I honestly don't think it has to do with the 1/8" bung we left out and tied into the vacumm line T's but I do think it has something to do with that MAPS/Baro sensor code. It was on as soon as the turbo was installed and sometimes goes away, but will usually come back within a day. Besides checking out that sensor and possibly replacing it, any ideas?

I still have yet to find a piece of steel with a 1/8" hole. Let alone stripping off all the powdercoating and welding it up.

I mean I can do it, if I can find that steel piece, but lowes/homedepot and etc dont have anything that small.

In my MEVI theres a little piece that one of the hoses run to, I believe is one of the fuel pressure hoses. Run a T off one of the other vacuum hoses and see if that makes the CEL go away vice tearing up your car. Thats what I did used a plastic T.

it has already been t'd into another vacumm line, without that the car idled terrible and was stuttering. So I know that it runs fine T'd in, but I just don't know anything about that MAPS/Barometer sensor and why I have never heard of anyone else who is boosted having an issue?
