Dual exhaust would we loose power?

I'm thinking of adding two free flow exhaust, the kind you can see right thru.
I don't plan on having them come out dual, like 2 mufflers in the rear bumper. More like a resignator. Replacing the cat. for a muffler. I know it fits because I used to run an exhaust in that area and the pipe would just go to the back bumper like on mustangs.

So I was thinking since I'm trying to get it as quiet as possible I could put an exhaust in the middle and another where the stock goes. Both would be high flow no restriction. It won't have a cat.

Do you guys think this may rob some power? It'll all be 3" from the downpipe to the rear. Although my last pipe was only 2.5" I'm wondering if a 3" type exhaust might be bigger?

He is turbo. (unless it was removed)

And, anytime you are adding restrictions (an additional muffler/resonator) even if it's a straight through muffler, it robs power. In this situation, I think it would be very minimal, but to answer your question - I believe yes it would rob power

Also, keep in mind turbo lives and dies by exhaust, but sounds like 3" you will have that under control It's mandrel I hope?

Hey Uncle Max! You have a Haltech E11? I'd like some input on th application for the VQ (base fuel maps etc...) if you would be so kind. Did you have problems?

I highly doubt it. Turboed cars hate back pressure. The less bends, the better. The more bends, the more back pressure.

Also, keep the exhaust the same diameter through out the whole exhaust.

Of course it would. If it is 3 inch throughtout, it sould flow the same amount it the v section does not block the exhaust gas that much. The only advantage of a single is that it weighs less.

Yea I'm still turbo. No Haltech, pulled it out. I would have 3" all the way down
including the exhaust. All bends would be cut U-bends welded together.

Hmm I guess I'll try one first then add another it's too loud. The section over the rear axle sucks but I don't think I'd go under it to make it less restrictive.
