I just bought the Apexi avc-r Electronic boost Controller for my car. Which boost controllers do you guys have, How do you like them? What are the ros and Cons? The one i bought can do a whole lot including gear specific boost, when i get my car back this will be interesting!!! Maybe we can sticky this for informational purposes soon.

I've only played with the Blitz DSBC "Type R" and it's ok, however the kPa is annoying.

I've read they have a new "Type II" or something in the same 1/4-din housing that outputs both psi and kPa, but I think it only has a single larger selenoid vs. two in the DSBC.

Well I was planning on going with the AVCR but then a buddy of mine who had one on his turbo 200sx said it was terrible to work with and was just a complete headache. If that is the case I may get it but take it up to apexi when I get home since it is right there in so cal. I was looking at the profecE01 though since im gonna get the e manage also.

I havent gotten it yet. Thomas says it takes a while to learn your boost curve for auto programming. The ability to monitor two analog and two digital inputs is very cool. Slap a wide band O2 kit on and I can monitor it with the E01! I may switch from a Apexi EGT gauge to a Greddy because it will interface to the E01. With all those inputs an the data loging feature I should only need to dyno once to see what its putting down. Plus if the JWT ECU aint cutting it I can slap the E-manage on and tweak it to my liking and keep the 7200 rpm limit. Boy heavy turbo boost at 7000rpm is gonna be awesome! But I am still waiting on the JWT ECU and from PFI a 60-1, 38mm tial WG and a new Walbro GSS342. I also need a new K&N air filter. and a few other parts. I have been driving around with just the intercooler for a few months noe, I'm such a ricer

Matt your Walbro croaked out on you? Your PFI kit came w/an air filter, you arent going to use that one? Turbo w/72K limit go out to the track and own

Hey Matt are you running a stock block or is yers built. Yea im gonna go with the emanage along with a rpm raised JWT ECU, I love the whole fule map setup of the emanage. I wasnt planning on going with the E01 but now ill see how it treats ya so keep us informed over here. Now that my stay in iraq has extended ill have the extra money to get an E01 right off the bat instead of saving up for one. And hey yer not really a ricer, least it is a real intercooler and not a fake metal looking intercooler front like they sell

The previous owner of the kit had installed the fuel pump in their car has not pulled it out to send it to me yet so he is going to credit me some cash for a new one. Same sorta thing with the air filter. The filter enclosed in the kit I have never seen, but I can bet that it will not flow 600+cfm. I will get a proper flow rated filter from K&N, I dont want to choke the turbo.

Stock block for now. I have a bare 3.5L block in my garage, just taking my time on the build up. I want to get the turbo on and all the bugs worked out with the kit and electronics before I put a $$$$ built motor in their.
