fuel pressure 40psi.

should i have problems starting the car if the fuel pressure is 40 psi? or do i have to lower the fuel pressure for the car to run properly?

Car should start with that much pressure. It should smell like fuel for a second, but I gotta think it would still fire.

Yes, it should still start. Might idle funny, but it will start. with Jason's car, we had a vacuum line unhooked accidentally and the car started with 45 psi fuel pressure because of the cartech. It barely ran, but it did idle.

It starts, it just stutters at times when starting but that may be due to the richness from when i shut it off. this thing righ now is Very Rich.

Cory set your base FP to 24-27PSI. Your car should fire up just fine. I fired my car up at first w/the 370's and drove it around for 2 weeks before finally dropping base FP. If you boost you may get some pops. That will be because you will be rich.

Jay is that good, Remember i don't have an FMU since i am using the emanage. Also should my pressure raise when driving sense i am not using an fmu to raise pressure while driving. Oh and how do you adjust this thing, i bought it used.

no is not good being rich while at idle and while driving. Fuel is too expensive now a days to be driving like that. Theres an adjustment **** on the top of the sard, turn that while at the same time checking the Fuel pressure gauge until you get to 27PSI. Set it to 27PSI since you have no FMU.

Interesting...my FP right now with the JWT ECU and 300z Injectors and no other fuel mods is at 40PSI.

I htought that was normal, but she is running very rich. I'm considering going against JWT's advice and putting the Cartech back in.

What they told me was that they set the fuel maps based on oem base fuel pressure (34 psi at idle) and a 1:1 rise rate of fuel pressure vs manifold pressure (such as what the oem fpr provides), unless you specify otherwise. You're at 40 psi because of the Walbro, I presume, so you need to use an adjustable fpr to get back down to 34 psi or you will be running rich.

So are O2 sensors, you'll probably destroy your O2s and CAT by running that rich.

Interesting - with the Walbro in the gas tank and the Aux pump running, I'm at 40PSI

With JUST the Walbro - 34 PSI.

I'm just scared to run without the Aux when boosting 12PSI - I think I'd rather just buy an adjustable FPR and do it that way.

Cat?!? What Cat?!?
