Maximum Tuning Valvebody

i took my car to maximum tuning today. belt still getting chewed.. picked up a new gatorback and jeff said he'll solve my problem..
im gonna put on the lexus pulley just to play it safe.. also while im there im gonna put the B&M transmission cooler, are those any good.. also im gonna go with the valvebody stage 2.the old one is three yrs old. i'll be picking it up later today.. i think im ready to play for sure this time..
will changing the pulley slow the car down.. i noticed it was heavier
than stillens..i know i need something strong though. also he has the 6 speed in his fourth generation. i think i want a ride when i go back..

thank you pawnstar. yeh that six speed is off the hook.. jeff said its very costly , even with him doing all the work himself. but i tell you, what a way to go.. the things i could accomplish with six speeds..
if i didnt invest so much money into my auto i would do it..also he's one hell of a mechanic. he did some serious work all in one day plus some extra's.. i am very happy with the stage 3 valvebody which he highly recomended with the horses im pushing..on the way home from the shop
of course i had to test it. the power transfer is ridiculous, and the shifts are strong and powerful.. it burns rubber when it switches from one to two, then its just a strong steady surge there out..i had a e55 mercedes behind me and when he caught up he asked me, what do you have a hearst shifter, cause damn your hopping like a rabbit. i smiled and said no its stock maybe you should get one

HRH makes a bullet-proof AUTO using Supra parts. The guy even has a guarranty that it can hold 500hp and if it brakes he replaces it fro free. Then again the stock tranny can handle 500hp as well.

oh, o.k.. yeh i had my done at level 10 about three yrs ago. at that time i only did a stage 1 upgrade.. i didnt want to mess up the smooth ride at the time.. i didn't know what i was gonna do at the time. just wanted a safe tranny.. now its a whole different story hundreds of horsepower later. the stage 3 i have now is gonna take some getting used to but
at least i can say it seems worth it..

on my stage three the first to second is abrupt only at low revs, then the rest is o.k. you have to learn how to manipulate the gas peddle to get it not to shift so hard.. but if you really give it gas its really a nice feeling. its like a five speed power shifting. but the best thing is i know my tranny has a little more protection.. i went from 1 to 3 so i dont know how two feels, but if yours is tight its probably stage 3.

what i did notice is, when your pimping.. music bumping, in cruise mode,
you notice it more.. but when its boys nite out looking for some action.. its a reassuring feeling that your in the game when that tranny kicks in, and i mean kick in..thats when you say, aahh!! money well spent...

I also got my VB mod done at Jeff's along with the B&M Fluid Cooler. I got my VB done to stage 2.5 spec's,A lil firmer than 2,a lil softer than 3. Its a nice compromise if u ask me,not too harsh, not too soft,....Just right. I can white smoke em in first, but I've yet to chirp second, which ****es me off,but Oh well. Ill be boosting hard by summertime .

CMAX where in the Bronx are you?? Ide like to meet up and check out ur set-up,maybe go for a ride and see if I like the feeling of an SC over a turbo.

When did Jeff put the 6spd in?! Last time I was there he was still a 5spd!
And who built ur VB?? Was it Matt? If it was he gets "bulletproof" trannies for $2500

Peace,
Justin

does 1-2 shift feel like the tranny is about to fall out, similar to power shifting a manual?

1-2 is very strong and if you work the gas peddle right its just like a surge into 2. but like you said catch it the wrong way and thats exactly how it feels.
