Probably not, neither do I. If you still have orignal parts of a Hal kit, then you either got issues or dont see the issues that are happening.

Take it apart and measure the inducer/exducer diameter.

Also, there aren't markings on the housing that look like an A/R, ie .XX?

On the compressor No. I am going to measure it and the wheel and call turbonetics.

Carl- Hal was the devil in this deal. If it was from NOPI, they would need to have an after the fire sale.

The old one will cost ~$500, over the phone qoute, to rebuild. the new one was ~$700.

I am going to take it ALL the way apart and see if I can put it back together.

I MAY hold off on that until I get the turbine houosing of my new one ceramic coated. That way I will not have to do anything

New turbo looks hot. Good to see you believe in the fast spool school of thought. Goodluck getting the rest of the kit up to par and enjoy the boost.

Can't wait to see another Sadler sized turbo dyno...especially at higher boost.

Should be next weekend.. and it may be the EXACT same.

I am still double checking.

Spool is nice, I gave it a little on the way into work. I am gonna try it a little more on the way home

I bet you make slightly more power with this turbo, simply due to the fact that this one has to be more efficient...given it has all it's blades in the correct position/shape (and no missing pieces). It's so pretty

The "butt dyno 2004" says it's faster. But that is all in my head I am sure.

It could be lower, I would not care. I actually feel "good" driving and showing my car off to people now. It's been a YEAR since I felt that way.

I can't wait to get it 100%, which will be next year...lol

The car "felt" faster from 20-80 but "felt" slower from 100-130.

It very well could be in my head.

I did some "testing" last night, and the TQ steer down low IS worse than before.

My old compressor is 6 inches accross the new one is 7 inches accross.

We will see what the deal is on the dyno

Yes it was bijan

That could be good...a flatter, less peaky TQ/HP curve feels weaker up top because you don't notice the "going over the mountain and coming back down" effect like with the peakier curve. You just keep "climbing the mountain". That's a lame explanation, but it sounds better in person...

the base of the compressor wheel is 3 inches accross

the top of the compressor wheel is 2 1/4 inches accross

The depth of the compressor blades is 1 1/8 inch

The depth of the whole compressor fan shaft is 1 1/2 inch

That works out to a 56-trim, my *GUESS* would be a T04S.

What are the inlet and outlet opening diameters?

I was told, to4B, but that may be incorrect

OLD compressor-

Inlet- 2 1/2 inches

Oulet is 1 3/4 inches

I'll do the new one tomorrow

It may be, I just don't see those wheel specs except on a T04s, but I don't have EVERY possibility.

Wow...1-3/4 outlet. Should be 2"+ IMO.

Yeah, that must have been a pretty small trim T04B to have a 1.75" outlet. Maybe his new turbo has a S wheel in the E housing? My 70 trim T04S turbo has a 4" inlet and 3" outlet.

I doubt it, there's probably some other combination T04B/E/S out there.

Not sure, just guessing really.
