I'd say quit bringing up old, tired, decrepid threads.

You can now by both a S/C and an T/C for the max. And, yes, the autotragic can't take that kind of power for long, so plan on beafing that up too.

Have fun in your 4-door boxster eater.

i guess its kinda a catch 22...

you tell the n00bs to search, and then ridicule them for making duplicate threads and 'info thats been talked about before', theres already a thread about this, etc. etc...

but then they catch **** for NOT doing that and asking in a valid thread.

You can't win...

The 5.5 Max is already a boxster killer to begin with (not on corners obviously or a boxster-s).

Torque Steer would seem like it would be the main issue keeping me from pushing a ton of extra power out of my 3.5. I wonder how people pushing 350+hp handle this issue?

I've been talking with ssr for the last month and have a tentative appointment for dropoff early next year. they already boosted someones max, but they didnt make any jigs for duplication. derr. does anyone know how the boosted max is doing? as far as the bottom mount turbo goes, ill make some some sick shielding, if my max is turboed, it'll make up for 10 lbs of metal skid plates! the only thing stopping me from dropping off now is my concern for high egt's during highway cruise. I havent had a clear answer as to how hot this thing will get under no load/lean cruising. turbo max guy...please reply

ok so did this guy ever make a decision? wasnt this thread about him makin up his mind on getting a turbo or just moddin his MAX? Man its carzy how threads somtimes become annoying.

If he did get his max turbocharged, how is it. It would be nice to know the results of the turbo.

The new GTR is a VQ35DETT.

And that tells you if the vq35 is reliable for boost, all you need is tuning, and retarding the timing back.

I'm pretty sure the GTR's motor is a completely revamped 3.5VQ. Even if its not that much different- theres no evidence out yet that the 3.5VQ engine being put in to the GTR is capable of handling extraordinary amounts of boost like the last generation skyGTR's were.

I think im might just save my money and wait for someone to wreck the new skylines, and just do a custom engine swap.LOL.
