Oh man, I found my boost leak!

Went to dyno and had a couple of runs and every afc setting we tried, it would give the same a/f.

I have only been seeing about 5-6 lbs of boost and have been hearing a "screaming" noise. I thought that it was a belt slippage problem, but it isnt.

we hooked up a compressor to the charge piping and fed some air through it to determine if there was a boost leak and, viola! its coming out of the adapter that fits my IAT sensor into my AWAC.

I know now why I am running so rich and only made a 13.7 run two weeks ago.

I just need some epoxy to seal it up, anyone have any suggestions? Looking for something that will work at engine temps and wont melt the plastic housing.

I was also thinking about sealing over the epoxy with some silicone.

Thoughts?
Steve

Wow - 13.7 on 231whp?

That's a pretty amazing run.

By my calculations you should be at about 14.3-14.5 on a good run with only that much power.

I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just saying that's amazing!

I was at 273hp and 245tq when I was Auto and pulled a 14.7 as my best time. Granted, with a heavy stereo in the trunk and a malfunctioning MEVI....but still!
