Cam Sensor Retainer

V1 kit going in..I do not have the Cam sensor retainer.

Stillen wants $37.50 for this part so I figured I would make one

anyone have a pic of what it looks like or any ideas to using something cheap in place of the retainer or maybe not even using it at all ??

thank you
matt

It's really only a flat piece cut to hold the sensor in place in a "rotated" position... The piece is hard as heck to remove else I'd scan it in for you. Maybe someone is changing a belt/pulley could do it for you. I assume the V1 and V2 piece are the same.

Hey Matt. Lemme see if I can mock something up for you. If I can find a spacer of the right size I can fashion a retainer using some flat stock. Too bad you didnt post this b4 I changed my cam sensor or I'da gotten you a pic as well.

I took a big enough washer and bent it in half to form about an 90 dergree angle for the washer and bolt it to the hole and the sensor has not moved since

matty, i didnt have mine with the kit - just like i mentioned - u dont really need it. It's not like it'll fall out either, it's a snug fit; just loosen the sensor, clock it the way u need it

Me three. My kit didn't come with one, so I didn't use it.
