Where to mount the EGT sensor

I am looking at getting the headers soon so I want to know where to mount the EGT sensor so it can be done at the same time.

Usually best to mount in one of the cylinder tubes on the headers. I believe most like to do it in Cylinder 5/6. Now in all honestly it doesnt matter where you put it, you can put it at the Y section of where the front meets the rear bank.

It all comes down to the first time you dyno tune, once you get the car tuned, make one last run and just watch the EGT gauge, at that point you will know what TEMP you should always try to be around to be close to that a/f ratio.
