I have a manual 99 max es. I've been wondering which FI i should choose ... either Stillen 99 sc or the pfi turbo. I know that the 95-98 model has a different sc model but i'm not sure if it's the same for turbo. I'm quite the noob when it comes to FI. I have to make a choice before next spring so no rush yet. Right now all i have on my car is budget Y and B -pipe and suspension setup. Any help would be much appreciated.

do more research to see the pros/cons of both and decide which one suits your needs better. i bet if you read the stickies you will be able to come up with your own answer easily. i can tell you right now that if you go turbo your exhaust mods will go to waste whereas if you go sc then you can still keep them.

 

Well waste might not be the best word. They won't be usable, but he can sell them and put the money towards his turbo. He'd probably want to get rid of them anyways eventually even if he got SC, because he might want to step up to a 3".

 

Ya i read the stickies.. but i thought about just putting a turbo with only 6 psi of boost since i'm new to FI and the 2.5" pipe should be ok.
I don't mind going supercharged. I'm looking for a used one right now. but i have not seen many 99 superchargers on sale
and i know that a ecu upgrade is not an option for us 99ers.
