My advise, is to leave it alone. Do some research on the forum if you plan on turboing your Maxima. Never go the cheap way out, you may regret it if you do. If you are looking into a turbo, stick to the minimum like a T3/T4.. Then work your way from there.

I'd look around a little more. Research is key in turboing.

Also, making a good setup for twins on a FWD VQ30 would be somewhat difficult, for basically no benefit.

Read everything you can about turbo and maximas.

this thread will get you started.

Turboing a car is a big investment. Make sure you know what you are doing.

You don't want any of those turbos - they are too small. An R32 RB20 is a smallish t28 with a T3 flange, it flows well under 30 lbs/min. It has a ceramic compressor wheel that is known for literally shattering to bits at higher boost levels. The RB25 twins would only be good on a TT set-up which (from what I've read on here) is NOT worth doing on a maxima. Also, they are probably too small for 3.0L of displacement anyway.

My opinion...
Buy Corkey Bell's book "Maximum Boost" and learn how to read compressor maps then pick the right turbo for your goals.

those turbos would be very difficult for you to use. im in the middle of fabricating a tt setup and im using t22's from a stock z32. these turbos are t28's and are not only physically larger but capable of producing in excess of 600whp with ease. you would have an extremely difficult time trying to fit them in the engine bay because they are pretty large in comparison to the ones im using - and mine barely fit nicely. using one of the t28s would not give you very good returns at all, its too small of a turbo to use on a 3 liter motor to get any decent powerband and gains.

if you want a decent used skyline turbo, get a t3 off of the rb25det's. they can support a nice amount of power and you shouldnt have too hard of a time finding one for cheap. there are however many other options in terms of used turbos besides using skyline ones. theres plenty of nice sized ones in the states.

edit: i only looked at the first link - i didnt even realize there were more than one. my response reflects the first link.

what ive learned from my on going experience, and im sure many will agree, is that you should not go into a project such as this thinking it will be a piece of cake. when planning for a turbo setup the initial stages you go through make it seem like it will be very easy but in fact, once you become more engrossed into the development stages you will come across issues that you didnt even fathom at the begining of the process. make sure you run through the list of parts you need over and over before you purchase anything because its very easy to over look simple items that are required to make a turbo setup work. dont take it too lightly and understand that this will be a learning process in which you will have to tackle a great deal of obstacles especially if its the first time you are going through it. i wouldnt reccomend buying parts off the whim without knowing ahead of time approximetely how much money and work it will take to complete it. you may very well find yourelf stuck in a hole which may be difficult and perhaps costly to get out of. just take it slowly and make sure you have full knowledge of the process and requirements before you get started with anything and you will be just fine.

look at hal's site...

www.fastmaxima.com

he does a good job explaining what is needed for a turbo setup...use that as a starting point and go from there. But ya, turbo is a big big big investment and you don't wanna screw it up cuz you forgot one crucial part.

since you have an auto i would go with this one since it is a real T3/T4

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...7930671700&rd=1

even thought its more expensive than the first one it will save you 200$ becauese it has an internal wastegate and it will sinplify piping alittle. it will also spool faster than the first turbo which is a full T4/T04E
