how to hollow out FPR for adjustable fpr

I will be getting a universal adjustable FPR soon, and prior to installing it, how do I hollow out the stock FPR??

With a drill bit that fits inside the inlet and outlet ports. Drill in through the inlet, then through the outlet (or vice-versa). You will create a connecting passageway through the guts of the fpr.

Make sure you get all the chips out before installing.

I haven't planned on hollowing out the fpr nor was I planning to buy an adjustable fpr. Is it really necessary to drill out the fpr?

Well you can either drill out the stock one and reinstall it or just get a stand off fitting off the fuel rail that will feed your adjustable FPR...Its good to have due because the Walbro raises base fuel pressure

If you're not getting an adjustable fpr then you need to keep the oem fpr as is. This is just a way of converting the oem fpr into a standoff fitting.

Did mine on wed. Take a drill bit (as stated above) and "carefully" drill out the inlet and outlet of the stock FPR *clean it out* THen, Re-install it... run the fuel line from the outlet to your new FPR then back to the tank. Your just using the stock FPR as a fitting to the fuel rail. It will no longer serve as a regulator just a passageway to the new FPR. "See the thread on StockGN Intercooler" if you want to see a pic of my FPR install. I can take more pics if you need. Just e-mail me.
