Do these injectors idle rough, and can they be managed by the SAFC-II or only emanage?

Mardi,

Did you try these withOUT the JWT ECU though? If not, please try using the stock ECU with eManage to see how they idle.

eManage will idle fine with that size injector, I run similar set up on my SR and it idles fine. I don't see how VQ would idle diff.

There could be many different factors between the two ECUs or even MAF abilities.

Until someone personally verifies it, I'm not saying yay or nay.

Doh~! Forgot about that, what about your 740s?

If the eManage alone can idle those bad boys, 550s aint ****.

Mardi,
have a quick question. you have the JWT ECU set to 555cc, and you used the emanage to programe 555cc to 740cc right. well my question is would the emanage be able to programe are stock injectors to 740cc?

That's what I'm asking him to try....nobody knows yet, since nobody has attempted it with the stock ECU and eManage ONLY.

I'll try it this weekend.

I was considering a shoot out between the JWT ECU and Stock ECU with e-manage. An hour of dyno time should be all it would take and since my friend helped me its not going to be oo much more to do this other than time to get the stock.emanage ecu set up dialed in. I do have the z32 maf, and will not change that.

Mardi,
that sounds great, can't wait to see how you do on the dyno, and if are stock ECU with e-manage could support 740cc. Thanks

I put the stock ECU back in and set the e-manage to 7-0-3 for the stock MAF. I set the injectors to 240cc/740cc. And the MAF correction to NSHW02, for the Z32 maf. It started, but idled and reved like poop. I tried a few different combos and this idled and reved best, the e-manage back to 7-0-1 for stock Z32maf and set the injectors for 370cc/740cc. It idled fine, reved fine, and was hunting for 14.7afr. I did not drive it, but im sure tuning would be in order to get it to run right. Its wierd that the MAF change setting didnt work as well with the main unit set for a stock VQ30maf. Perhaps the Z32maf relation to the 370cc injectors it a work around. I would guess that the stock MAF and 740s would be a bit too much for the e-manage correction factor to work with.

Mardi,
so you are saying that the 740cc could work with stock ECU and Z32 Maf w/e-manage, but needs work to get the afr down. that sound pretty good cause i cant make up my mind if i want the 555cc or the 740cc for my turbo project. I just don't want to hit the max of the 555cc and then have to replace w/740cc. thanks alot for trying this out for use helps alot.

Yes it should wwork, just be conservative while tuning for boost to be sure its good. Just dont dial in 10psi and let her rip, that sort of thing.

You kept the Z32 MAF in for all these tests, correct?
