SPEC stage 3 Clutch

Ok.. no more tears from me on slipping clutch!

Mark suggested the SPEC stage 3 .. It's a prity harsh engagement. Stiff springs along with thick metal to the metalic pads. It's prity much a ON or OFF kinda thing. I'm going to let it break in for a few days before realy leaning on it but no slippage on the way home!!!

Question?... where do I get the bushings for the lower controll arms? I remeber seeing them in a kit some where any one know where? Thanks~

I'll be moving on to finishing the Live Edit final steps this week. I kinda figured there's no real point to getting it up and running along with the 370cc INJ with a worthless clutch that won't grip. So now that we've got some holding power we'll make some more power!

Thanks for your help Bernarrd with the Live Edit INI files and Bin files!

Scott~

It did have a little note in there about break-in procedure and how many miles it took to seat in properly. Bet that's what's going on... When it gets seated I'll like not seeing my rpm's go up and my MPH not change!
Thanks!
Scott!
Any Ideas on the lower Controll arm bushings?

no problem! i'm sure you'll be really happy when you finally get to lay into the thing and not have to worry about the clutch slipping. not going to beat 515 ft. lb. of torque holding capacity for a while

which speaking of that capacity. i'm not sure if any of you 4th genners knew about it but since all maximas from something like 84-99 use the same clutch, that means you can get the 84-86 300ZX Turbo clutch and bolt it right up. higher clamping force, lower prices, and it bolts right up. the only thing that you can't use is the throwout bearing from what i can tell. the throwout bearing that i got in my spec clutch kit definitely wouldn't work on our cars but the clutch and pressure plate work beautifully. just a fyi for you guys

holy sh*t, r u serious? what about the stock clutch for the 300zx TT? its probably much smoother than most of these clutches people have and i'm pretty sure they can handle probably 350 torque since 300z comes with 300 stock and an extra 50 is most likely possible to control.

TT clutch is actually a 250 mm setup so it wouldn't fit. ours is a 240 mm.
