SC seized up? Time for rebuild??

Right now I'm running on a stock belt and bypassing the s/c until I get home for xmas break this weekend. My first question is do you think its alright to run the car with the bypassed SC for 300miles? I don't see how it could hurt. And secondly when we put the stock belt on today my friend said he thinks my s/c needs a rebuild because he can barely turn the s/c pulley? Isn't it supposed to be hard to turn if it is just sitting there or has my s/c seized up, car seems to run ok with the stock belt granted its severely underpowered from before and I can't imagine the car running at all if the blades in the s/c weren't spinning a little bit with the regular airflow?

question: Is there a reason you're running on the stock belt?

My SC brand new was somewhat hard to turn. I wouldn't worry about it if you aren't seeing/feeling/hearing the SC do anything wrong.

I ran off the stock belt for 1200+ miles - it's not a problem.

Ah.

You're fine man - get the belt back on when you can....no hurry....but you'll get sick of having less power pretty quickly.

Its hard to turn the blades because of the drive gears.

If it's not making strange sounds don't worry too much. As long as it's performing normal
