SC seized up? Time for rebuild??
Right now I'm running on a stock belt and bypassing the s/c until I get home for xmas break this weekend. My first question is do you think its alright to run the car with the bypassed SC for 300miles? I don't see how it could hurt. And secondly when we put the stock belt on today my friend said he thinks my s/c needs a rebuild because he can barely turn the s/c pulley? Isn't it supposed to be hard to turn if it is just sitting there or has my s/c seized up, car seems to run ok with the stock belt granted its severely underpowered from before and I can't imagine the car running at all if the blades in the s/c weren't spinning a little bit with the regular airflow?

question: Is there a reason you're running on the stock belt?
My SC brand new was somewhat hard to turn. I wouldn't worry about it if you aren't seeing/feeling/hearing the SC do anything wrong.
I ran off the stock belt for 1200+ miles - it's not a problem.
