I have never really paid attention to my Emanage unit while driving the car until today. Today I opened the glove box to adjust the boost down a little bit, and I noticed the green 'activity' LED on on the left side of the unit was not flashing. I had thought this was always flashing the previous times I'd looked at it so I started paying more attention. At highway cruising speed, constant throttle, it will be solid green. Upon significant acceleration the light will start flashing, some times faster flashing, sometimes slower. I couldn't detect any pattern to when it flashes fast, or when it flashes slowly, but I'm sure there is one. The weirdest thing I noticed was that sometimes, under light acceleration from highway speeds it turns orange and flashes (same orange as the light on the right side of the unit).

Does anyone know what the difference is between a solid and flashing green activity light, and what it means when the green activity light turns orange and flashes? I don't have my PC support tool yet so I can't hook the laptop up to it. I'm probably being paranoid about nothing, car drove perfectly fine cruising, light acceleration, and under boost.

 

the orange light just illuminates when you reach you AAv setting range....I think the green just means everything is good...I've nerver really payed attention to it when driving, but as long as its not flashing red and throwing codes, I wouldn't pay it any mind.

 

OK I'm an Emanage noob, what is AAv? And I assume you mean that the left side light turns from green to orange? Because the other light (right side, orange in color all the time) seems to flash all the time the car is running.

 

yeah the left side light...the right side light is the interaction light, it should always flash if you have the E01 or USB plugged into it

basically I think it just goes off at each of the set AAV RPM points even if you havne't touched the AAV settings using the dials on the Emnage or messed with their settings using the support tool/E01. so yeah its just flashing orange harmlessly, unless your tuner made AAV changes.
