MEVI and Turbo

Does the MEVI work well w/a turbo?

Yes as Ben said, however you could turn up the boost for pretty much FREE vs. the ~$500 you'd spend on a MEVI.

IMHO, it would be better to put the $500 towards something else like injectors/AFC.

It looks like the dek 00vi is cheaper than the mevi and has more performance gains. Would anyone recommend 1 or the other for the v1 ?

DEK is superior performance wise, however it isn't bolt-on like the MEVI.

need in what sense? Why not just say a "Maxima doesn't need a turbo" ?

He asked if it works well... and yes, it is GREAT on the top end. The midrange effects are a little worse, because that is where you want help as the turbo spools - but once you get it into it's powerband it stays there so long as you are shifting high enough. It more than makes up for the loss.

Now, MEVI working well with FI + nitrous is a totally different question.
