HELP!!!Temp. Gauge going crazy

A few days ago I notice my temp. gauge will from normal and will go down to cold under boost and its funny because its almost like a second boost gauge w/o the numbers but theres nothing wrong with the cooling system and its probably just a sensor but was just wondering if its happened to anyone else and just seeing what everyone thinks.

my 90 SE did that before boost. if i hammered it the temp gauge would all of the sudden drop. the temp sensor was bad. replaced it and haven't had any trouble since.

Check and see if your crankcase filter is spiting oil on top of your temp sensor

I just looked at the pics of your setup and the blowoff valve is right next to the engine coolant temp sensor. Maybe under boost it is leaking and venting charge pipe air right onto your ECTS and that is what is causing the temp fluctuation?

Aside from that, I just want to say that is a nice setup you have there, largest turbo I've seen on a Max. How much boost do you run, and when does boost come on for you. Any dyno sheet?

Yeah it probably is the temp. sensor but I will check for any leaks and see what I come up with but I know I have no oil leaks(thats one thing I can't stand). Thanks guys Oh about how much boost I run, on daily driving I run 7lbs but have never gone over 10lbs. Starts to spool at about 4000 but when it does HOLD ON! Haven't had it dynoed since last year at the Nopi tuner bash in Panama City,fl and I believe I put down 343/337 but I plan on getting it dynoed again soon and I will post it when I do. If I could find my old sheet I would post it but moving twice in the last year makes it hard to find things.

Your crankcase filter mayhave some blow by that only happens under boost.

That's why I mentioned it. It won't be a steady leak.

What type of fuel management are you using?
