ahh, ok. i see what you're getting at now.

yeah, i would never run a narrowband o2 sensor gauge when you have the wideband setup especially since plx makes a wideband 02 sensor gauge.

Which ever bank/side your FPR is on is the leanest, so that would be my pick. However, most just go with the easiest one to get too, which is bank two right behind the radiator.

Just an update of the list:

Also if you have not paid yet, go head and pay because as soon as 10 people have paid they are going to be shipped out. Also let them know if you want the custom screen ( hasnt been determined) or if you want the standered warmup screen.

You can e-mail them hear http://www.zeitronix.com/gb/G35.htm email is at the bottom.

One last thing hear is were you can vote on what custom screen:

guys, vote for what screen, they are adding it in for free. I think most of us that have maximas would prefer Shift_VQ or VQ Power because I know not everyone is boosted, like sr20den.

The custom Screen has to be chosen no later then Tonight at midnight.

I need to let Zeitronix know so they can start to make the custom software.

They also said in order to have to the custom warmup screen created there needs to be at least 8 people that get it. This is because there would be no point in making somthing that takes a while for 2-3 people.

Contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Jordan

I'm putting a 7" touch screen in my dash, run by a car-pc for use with e-manage and this. Originally it was suppose to save me money because I had no laptop for e-manage, but you know how that goes...

So the O2 bung doesnt go into the cat or near the cat ??

You need to have that welded into the header ??

On vehicles equipped with catalytic converters, the weld boss should be installed before the converters. Vehicles that don't utilize converters are free to install the boss anywhere in the exhaust, but it should be within 30" of exhaust port.

Turbocharged vehicles have rather high exhaust gas temperatures and pressures. In these applications, it is best to install the weld boss in the downpipe as far away from the exhaust turbine as possible. Never install the sensor in the exhaust manifold between the cylinder head and turbo.

The weld boss should be mounted in a manner that reduces the risk of moisture contamination on the sensor. Ideally you should orient the weld boss so the sensor is between the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock position. A 10 degree inclination off the horizontal plane should be considered a minimum.

I'm thinking of putting the sensor right after where the banks come together. Any other thoughts on where the sensor should be?

its nice to see that we got like 20+ people.

Since everyone will have the same wideband, we can all troubleshoot.

I know I got a new laptop to complement this program (and possibly use it for the zem if/when it comes out)

I was thinking since I have my EGT guage bung welded there, I will weld it alittle father back near the cat.

I'll be putting my wideband sensor after the turbine, and then running a narow band faker signal to both banks of the ECU. If I only need one, why have two expensive parts in the piping, (I'm not using the stock heads).

matt, i would try to put it before the flex section so the exhaust gasses do not have that much time to slow down.

The EGT probe is really supposed to go within 3" of an exhaust port. I am going to mount my O2 bung within a few inches of the Y collector on my headers.

might not be a good idea...

this is from innovate (LM1) but i'm sure O2s pretty much operate the same way...

Q: When do I need to make or install a heat sink?

A: The Bosch LSU4.2 wide-band O2 sensor (shipped as part of the LM-1 kit) is rated to operate at an exhaust gas temperature of < 1300 degrees (F), and a sensor housing temperature of < 900 degrees (measured at the bung) for maximum accuracy and control. When either of these operating temperature ranges is exceeded, the sensor can no longer be accurately controlled. Further, operating at or over these temperatures for any length of time can significantly reduce the lifetime of the sensor. The LM-1 is designed to display an error message under these conditions (currently 08- Sensor Timing Error) rather than provide inaccurate readings. For some turbo vehicles, rotary engines, and other setups, this error message can be encountered with annoying frequency.
