Is MAFS Same as O2 Sensor

Hey all,

Heres my Question. Is what nissan calls the Mass Air Flow Sensor the same thing as the "O2 sensor"?

Let Me break my problem down for you all. I have future plans of turbocharging my 2001 Max.
So I am slowly buying parts that I will need (i.e. Greddy e-manage, & an A'PEXi Auto Timer for turbo).
I just got the A'PEXi Turbo Timer and I want to install it, but I am unclear on one part of the instructions.

It says Splice the white wire (O2 sensor signal) form the relay (the timer relay that is) into the O2 sensor wire from the ECU.

All help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Devilish

No. MAF meters flow in the intake tract, O2 meters % oxygen in the exhaust.

Why is your turbo timer referencing O2 anyways?

The Apexi SAFC has a sensor check feature so you can monitor O2 sensor voltage. Maybe the turbo timer does too.

The MAF is the Black tube thing with a box on top with 3 wires connected between your trottle body and your air box. An O2 Sensor is a little tube thing connected on your exhaust. You should have at least 3 of those.
