Help with piping

I am ordering some piping today to do a custom 3" high pressure pipe and switching to a cai setup on the inlet side. Before i order it i wanted to know what type piping should be used on the high pressure piping.

16ga alum pipe is fine. For intake stuff. You can use anything. Steel, alum, ss steel, titanium etc.... If you are welding it yourself, alum steel is the cheapest/easiest to weld cut etc..

Chris,

Sounds like a good plan. Just make sure you clock the blower like StephenMax used to have to eliminate that hard bend at the blower outlet.

Also, once you successfully complete this, you will benefit from a larger throttle-body. I'm starting to believe StephenMaxs' Pathfinder Throttle body could work on us 5th gens.. You'll need to bore out the intake manifold inlet a bit to match the PF TB diameter again like StephenMax did, but the adapter plate he makes already mates up to our intake manifold, so no fabrication would be necessary.

You'd be my hero, if you could try this.

Aluminum would be my choice (although it is significantly harder to weld, and more expensive - yet reasonable)

i have another question about stephen's reclocking the blower.

stillen sells those silicon couplers that replace those parts, does anyone have any idea to what part numbers they would be? i'm going to scour stillen's website now.

wish me luck
