V2 is in !!!

After months of he!! dealing with vortech I finally was able to install the V2 today in the warm weather. To my surprise there was more oil than I expected on the bottom of the V1 and on the inside case. The oil only made it as far as the BOV so I had to clean all that, take the filter off and clean that....I was going to replace the filter, but it wasnt all that bad...The V2 is a very quiet blower ...I thought I wouldnt like it, but it's really nice

I now have V1 Plate and a V2 blower

thanks everyone for all the help and pics of the new blower will be up soon

Time to clock that blower and eliminate the compressor discharge 90-degree bend.

Any plans to dyno to see what the new blower is doing?

Drop the CAI on the V2 and it will make it a tad bit louder. It sounds good too. I may be dropping another V2 in the car prior to it being out of my garage. I miss that sweet V2 noise . The turbo BOV makes up for it though

It would not stop leaking Oil...Vortech couldnt find the problem even after two rebuilds

Is this fairly simple to do? I get my blower back next week and I want to eliminate the nasty crimped 90 bend. Also any links the the type coupler needed for it to fit with the blower clocked? Thanks...

I guess I'll just have to look at mine when it gets back. Hopefully I can figure it out with the blower in front of me. I just need to find something to use to connect to the crossover pipe. Are you supposed to reclock the blower while its on the car attached the the mounting bracket? Blah im confused.

babyblu,

Sounds pretty easy from StephenMaxs' description, but you guys are the experts. Definitely something you should do.

Good question on whether you can do this on or off the car, I don't know.

I wish I was an expert most of my knowledge which is very little came from SR20DEN...I'll see what happens once I get the blower back and I'll report to you guys about how the T-Trim works out on the vq.
