The size of the throttle body has no bearing on engine management.

The Q45 TB is what, 90 mm? To take advantage of it you will have to have a custom intake manifold, since the USIM and MEVI can't be opened up more than 73 mm (that's actually the outside dimension of the throat area). The 00vi is about the same.

Yhea, until you have some type of custom intake manifold that would accept or need anything larger than the Pathfinder TB a Q45 would be overkill since you would never be able to port match the stock intake manifold or MEVI to such a large TB as the Q45

Even worse than just being overkill... an abrupt change from 90mm to 70mm would cause significant flow problems. Turbulence would be pretty significant. You'd probably lose power.

He's talking about throttle body not MAF.

i was planning on using 2000 vi w/ the restriction plate off and making a aluminum adapter plate. it can be done. i was wondering if the voltage from the q45 tb can be made to be read differently with those engine management systems so i dont have idle issues or every day driving issues.

so your saying that the 00'VI w/ the restrictor plate off is still smaller than 90mm?

Why would you need to modify the voltage from the TB? There isn't any right? Are you talking Q45 MAF, or TB. It seems like TB from the rest of your post, but what part of the TB has voltage coming out of it?

Let me know if this works out for you. If I ever get around to making that custom manifold, I was just planning on cutting the TB flange to accept the Q45 TB.

That's right, it isn't any bigger than the MEVI or USIM. There is no way you can enlarge the throat of the 00VI to take advantage of the Q45 TB.

To make matters more difficult, enlarging the throat of the 00VI to accept the Pathfinder TB involves filling in the 0-ring gasket groove with body filler so that you can grind away enough plastic without having an air leak because of the groove.
