Discounted Clutches (KEVLAR/CARBON)

For those of you interested, I am expecting my car to make upwards of 300 hp and I am sure my ACT street clutch is close to a much needed replacement.

So I went to cluthmasters and clutch net and was looking around. Well as many of you know the clutchmasters kevlar/carbon clutch is 650.00. Well the problem I have is spending 650.00 for a whole clutch when all I need is a relined sprung disc, because I already have an act psi plate. So I called up a local place Called FORT WAYNE CLUTCH (they are really good I've had them do a lot of work for and never had a problem).

I told them what I wanted and what it was for and he quoted me 140-150 for the disc. So I figured since the price was so good I'd let you guys know. Let me know what you think and maybe I can get a group deal or something?

Not a bad price at all! I bought mine (kevlar) from South Bend Clutch, it was ~300 for disc and PP. I'm not sure what they would charge for just the disc.

yup i am pretty excited about not spending 650.00! Now it makes it much easier to justify a light flywheel!

How much torque have you put down with that clutch?

So 330 lbs torque on the juice. Why is the graph all funky and stops/drops at 4K rpm's. Clutch held fine?

long story but i had the setup working fine at 75 before i went to the dyno but someone had told i should remove the fuel filter from the fuel selonoid since the factory one would do the filtering and it would just be a restiction. well he was right about the restiction because when i took it out it alowed alot more fuel and there fore i ran really rich and i didnt have the right jets to to lean it out as you can see at 4.4k it goes off the charts rich and the motor lost all power and wouldnt excelerate any more so i had to go home and get the right jets everythings cool now ive got .065 in the N and .040 in the fuel it is still alittle rich but with 1000psi it rips the tyres through half of 3rd so i know its all there

ill be going back to the dyno when my friend get his stang running in a few weeks we kinda have a bet running who ever makes less power pays for all the dyno time so im bringin 200 jets just in case but it should put down some good numbers at 150
