370cc injectors will I gain power
Ok Im running 7psi on a stock fuel system right now. 180cc injectors. My knock levels are right around 200.Ok Im running realy lean so I should be make some good power. But my question is when I put the 370cc in It will get the right amount of fuel to them to get a good air/fuel ration.OK the know levels will go down too.
Now My question is If the knock levels go down the ECu should not pull the timing as much. RIght? So the less it pulls the timing the less power should be lossed

you will always gain power with proper timing and a/f ratios.
with 7psi on your car, im surprised it hasnt blown something already. Mad Props to the 3rd gens (i used to have one)
i would suggest using the 370's with a zx maf due to cold start and idle.
do you have a fpr?

I've always wondered why you haven't blown up yet. Especially now that I know the 3rd gens have 180cc injectors. Knock on wood or don't drive again till you tune that bia. What do you pull timing with? Or you let the ECU do it all?

Well I dont have a fpr yet. Im going to order one so I can put my 370cc in.
I have been letting the ecu pull the timing and do everything. I got my safc in and letting it send a little more fuel on the 180cc now. not much help though.
Im hoping when I put the 370cc in that the ecu will not pull the timing as much and I can make some more power.
I have ran a 9.40 at the track in the 1/8 and have ran 14.10 @ 103.7 on the g teck in the 1/4 with the 180cc. The knock levels do go high but nothing blow up yet other that intercooler pipes.

the afc can read the knock sensor. from what i can tell and have read with other afc users (however different cars) is that 200+ is pretty bad. normal readings are usually no more than about 50 or so, if that. when my wastegate screwed up (more of, setting it up per the instructions and come to find out the instructions were ****ty... screw you turbonetics) it boosted to about 15 psi... non-intercooler, with a very inneficient turbo.
the knock levels according to the afc were about 230 or so... the very weird part though is i never heard anything, nor did the ecu pull timing and make the car slow down or anything... its very weird. i don't know if its just that these engines are incredibly strong or what... but damn that was sure fun at 15 psi![Laugh out loud](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif)
i'm not sure if the afc just isn't reading it right or what... you would think it should have knocked since there was super hot air going in on top of not enough fuel... but, i have no idea.
