The pipes are different....
Mainly the reverse y pipe - from what Ive seen.
The intake manifold sits slightly different on 5th gens...
There are so many different setups people have though..

I'd disagree....the reverse ypipes are the same except the cat location. However, the intercooler discharge to TB pipe has to be slightly different due to the throttle-body placement.

Only issue Albert is the Cali vs. Fed spec cars exhaust manifolds and EGR passage crap. Yes, you can eliminate that difference by just replacing the exhaust manifolds with tubular headers like you guys did with the VQ35 kits and add a bung like Cattman does on his headers for the EGR cars. However, that adds a good amount of cost and really isn't necessary at <400whp IMHO.

So, what you could do is force everyone to go with a front FED-spec exhaust manifold, which can be had for ~$50 at a junkyard. Most cars, 95-00, are Fed spec anyways, so it's just an inconvienence for some of the 99, late 2000, and all 2001 cars.

I wish I could help you/Tim modify the VQ35 kit for us VQ30ers, but I really can't be without my car that long. Anyways, I'm sure you'll find a guinea pig once the VQ35s start laying down 400+whp numbers.

Poor? Not when you have $1,000 wheels!
Just drop off the car at SFR and forget about it for another year. It'll be just like it's still in the garage.

A little off topic, however do you have any plans to build an Intake Manifold for the VQ30DE?
