Disabling EGR

Ok.. I know this question popped up a few times on this thread. But, I need to know how to disable the EGR? During boosting to about 6psi, the car starts to buck/hesitate a bit. From what was mentioned, bypassing the EGR may eliminate this problem.. Well I would like to put this to the test.

To illustrate things, at 5-6psi of boost,

1. EGT's are around 1375F-1420F.

2. Fuel Pressure shows 65psi. (This can be adjusted, but I may be reaching the max on stock injectors)

Fuel Reqs:

1. Walbro 255 Fuel Pump

2. Vortech SMFU

3. Stock 270cc Injectors

4. Stock MAF

5. Stock Programing

If you have a 95 so you have 240cc side feed injectors.

Basically you put a plate blocking off the EGR port on your IM and put a big bolt in the place where it bolts into the rear exhaust manifold. Then you must put some resistors in the wires where it connects to the ECU..

Yes.. I do have a 1995 maxima with side feed injectors. With repect to the EGR, blocking the EGR ports on the Intake manifold and exhaust manifold should not be an issue. But the resistors, is questionable.. What resistors do I use and how many? Is there a Write-up on this??

No resistors are required. Just leave the one plug plugged in. It won't throw a code. For more info check the Definative EGR Thread
