mechanics tip

as some of you have been reading about my fuel system upgrade, saturday i had removed all that stuff to put in new injectors, etc., i had sprayed the screw threads that hold on the fpr and injector caps, in hope of them loosening up for removal. they were on pretty tight. and with just a phillips head screwdriver it would of been a disaster. well today i removed them all with ease. i used a small pair of needle nose vise grips and just gripped the screw heads pretty tight and gave them a little twist and they broke loose to my relief. and just use a screwdriver to remove them. easy. i will replace the screws with another type of head, maybe allen or hex. something that will come off without a fuss. i hope this will help someone. i will post a pic this weekend of the removal and installation.

I'm with ya, I always use locking visegrips to "crack" them. I failed on my one attempt to replace the screws with allens (size mismatch and didn't feel like running back to the store)

that is a good idea. some phillips head screws are just too tough to get off after years of grime and corrosion. ive torn my fair share of them to shreds trying to get some off. i really did a number on some of the screws holding the fuel injectors in place on my old 4th gen, luckily that car was going to the junkyard so it wasn't an issue

I had to grind one of my Phillips into a flat head to get it off. I'll probably replace with Allen heads too.

Cool, I will be doing this in the near future. Is the AFPR all your using, or are you going to be getting a FMU? Did you use Sx7r's AFPR?

Thanks

Btw, at how many horses are the 370's maxed out at?
