I have my SuperCharger off and cannot unscrew the setscrew that holds the pulley on. What did they do glue it in? Any know how to get it off so I can put my 3.33 pulley on?

make sure you are using the correct allen key.

Slimer, I think linux is asking about the actual flat allen bolt holding in the pulley, not necessarily removing the pulley itself from the charger as The Wizard was asking.

Linux, what are you doing to stop the pulley from turning as you attempt to loosen it?

Mine was pretty stuborn too. The Wizard and I broke one allen wrench and we just barely got my bolt undone right before the second wrench was about to break (but not before making the wrench a pretzel!). We used a 2' pipe over an allen wrench. We stopped the pulley from rotating by being creative and using the belt folded over on itself and wrapped around the pulley a few times to keep it from rotating.

Im replacing the Cheap plastic pulley from the stillen kit with a new ASP 3.33. We are using the old belt that was on the SC to hold the pulley and have a new Short Allen wrench socket. I'll have the car done today and should be testing out the new 3.33 today. Thanks, for the help.

 

It is the idler pulley that is plastic, not the supercharger pulley. The SC pulley that comes with the kit is aluminum.

 

Well, No luck yet, broke 2 allan wrenches and broke 2 snap-on sockets trying to get the damn thing off. Guess Im gonna have to drill the damn thing out and get a new one .

 

Don't give up bro, you'll get it. Ptatohed and I got his off with some muscles/creative thinking. We also put a minor amount of "Liquid Wrench" on the bolt and let it sit for hours. We would come back every 30 minutes or so and add a few more squirts. Give it shot if you haven't done so already.
