255lb waltoboro problems

Ok I took the stock fuel pump out and put in the 255 today.I was seeing knock levels of the 230 with the stock pump and thought this would solve the problem. I
have 259cc injectors with stock regulator. Well mtcookson had the same set up and his knock never got above 100 or so. So what could make my levels go so high.

Ok my fuel pressure is at idel at 36psi
Well I have the stock regulator and when I put the 255 in the pressure went to
43 at idel witch is more than likely pig rich. why did it change?

ok the fuel pump voltage goes down around 11.5 at wot.Mtcookson has this same pump and his stays around 12.3 to 12.5 i beleive. But at idel mine is around 11.8 but the the more throtle you give the more it goes down. .

WHat to do?

The 255 is a bigger pump, so it changed the pressure

Run a new wire from the fuel pump relay to the duel pump and see if that solves the voltage drop and see if the knock levels drop.

Less voltage = Less flow

quite honestly i wouldnt trust an AFCs knock level indacator with my life.

why not get a wideband or go to a dyno and acually see what your A/F ratio looks like

why not get a FMU to sqeeze more fuel throught those 259cc injectors which i would guess are at 100% duty cycle under boost

im just curious but why do you have 370cc injectors listed in your sig when you have 259s installed

I got the walbro255 pump too, with stock fpr and stock injector,my car run little rough(like motor shake a little and go away after that) at around 1500 rpm,do your think the pump rising the base fuel cause it rich, but it idle fine?Any boby got this same problem?Do your think will the adjust fpr bring back the base fuel will stop this?

i have the 255lph and it also bumped my WOT fp to 52psi and i had to get an afpr to lower it back to 43psi but my car hasnt had a steady idle for as long as i can remeber so i dont know about that but it definitly ran rich
