Using e-Manage's VTEC function as an rpm switch?

I've been trying to get my e-Manage's VTEC function to work as an RPM switch to control my manifold. Has anyone successfully done this? I imagine it can be done, but can't seem to make it work. All I get is a .65 volt signal from it all the time.

Two questions I guess I have that might help me figure this out is, do I need a VTEC input to the e-manage. obviously I don't have one, but do I need to run a constant power to it or something to make it work. And what does the VTM do?

An opinions are appreciated.

I think you have to switch the jumper settings inside to activate the vtec properties, look on the Emanage forum or mailing list, there was a similar discussion a few weeks ago about using that function on non-vtec/non-Honda vehicles.

I switched the jumpers around. Something is obviously wrong, because nothing is happening when I hit the correct RPM. (unless it's something other than a voltage change) Even if I get it to change, I don't know how I'll hook it up to a relay if it shows voltage before vtec is engaged.

I also tried using the sub-injector map and setting the value from 0 to 100%, but that doesn't switch voltage on and off either.
