auto & 5spd FP

My base fuel pressure has been dead on at 41 psi since instaling the walbro and 50 psi at 0 vacuum

I put in an auto ECU to send my 5spd ECU to JWT last week. Right after putting in the auto ECU I noitced my base fuel pressure was now at 45 psi. But still goes to 50 psi at 0 vacuum.

WTF

I also get a weird loopy type idle off and on since putting in the auto ECU.

I have used an auto ECU in my car before when I was NA and did not have any loopy idle issues. I did not have a FP gauge then so I don't know if it effected my fuel pressure back then.

Any thoughts? Not really concerned at the moment. I will see what happens when my 5pd ECU gets back.

The only way this makes sense is if the auto ecu controls voltage to the fuel pump, and it does it differently than the manual ecu does.

Maybe the auto ECU hasnt adjusted? Drive it around some and recheck the FP?

I had a really crappy idle the first time I started the car with DE-K injectors, a while later, everything is smooth as silk..

My fuel pressure gauge is in cabin and right in front of my face. It has been this way for over a hundred miles now.

i dont think im the right person to talk to since my fp has been adjusted. the wierd thing is that my electronic gm sensor reads 40 or 41 while the cheapo jegs gauge reads 34.

just clarifying, im assuming this is ure stock auto ecu and u did a 5spd conversion and u have 5spd now, right? is ure auto ecu programmed in any way? this is a bit of an odd situation...

No, I have a 5spd stock. I sent my stock 5psd I30 ECU away to JWT and am using a 98 auto ECU for the meantime. I have used this some ECU before when I had JWT do my NA tune.

I am guessing you did not know that from 96-99 you could get a I30 in a stick.
