Advice on Injector Install !!
Im gonna be installing my 3" cross-over, 370cc, Z32MAF, JWT-ecu (370cc, MAF 7200rpm E-Prom), and Rear Valve cover gasket next week sometime and I need some advice on the injector install
I have already had the intake manifold off so I think that will be a breeze but as for the injectors, I need some pointers
1. What do I lube the injectors gaskets with ?
2. Some say the fuel rail needs to come off, some say it doesnt at all ??
3. Pulling the fuel pump fuse will work O.K. for gettin the fuel out before I shut down correct?
4. Anything else I should know before venturing in on this project?
thank you if you write anything...any help is appreciated

lube the o-rings with KY jelly or vasaline
no need to take the rail off, just be careful and dont maul your stockers when pulling them out
i didnt pull my FP fuse on the several occaisions i have installed the injectors.
i replaced my injector cap screws with hex bolts. those screw heads strip VERY easily so be careful getting them out. if you do happen to strip one, you can get the vise grips on the head very carefully and turn it a smidge to get it started. i just took one of the screws to home depot and found the matching thread and got bolts with a hex head so you can use a socket on it.
hope that helps.

Just use WD40 to help remove the old injectors and regular oil to lube the new injector O-rings.
As far as whether it's easier to get the new O-rings to seat properly by removing the rail vs. just the caps, I don't know.

Do you think its neccaccary to have them Flow Tested before I go and install them ?? I purchased them from Superdave on the .org with about 50K miles on them or 40K, I cant remember
Im scared that when I go to put them in, there not going to work...

If you do want to get them tested, use witchhunter. He does the best job for the best price.

Most injector o-rings are nitrile, not rubber so vasaline is OK, but I still just like to use fresh motor oil. If you want to get picky, the best thing to use is Parker o-lube. It is specifically for lubing o-rings.
Matt, If you want to wait a couple weeks, I will have my own New Age NA8 sonicator and flow machine. =)
