rough idle?

Idle around 500 and below. Car stalls out sometimes. Pulls like a champ though. ses light on.vaccum at about 10 hg. Blitz bov not wanting to bleed at idle unless I take out the air temp sensor from charge pipe before throttle body. V1 kit. I think I can hear a vaccum leak but... Anyone have any ideas?? thanks

Low vacuum and rough, low idle point to a vacuum leak. So does your bov not wanting to open at idle.

But why your bov opens when you remove the IAT sensor is beyond me...

Mines idles rough below 500 too. It's always idled really low like that, I think it just doesn't like running that low with the S/C. If I bump up the idle, it goes away. I'm pretty sure I run more vacuum than 10 hg as well.

On a similar note, Mine car will stall on engine decel at times. Usually when I take a corner, and the rpms are dropping, once I turn the wheel the extra engine load kills the engine. I've tried everything and can't get it to stop. Kinda dangerous losing power steering mid turn.

Used to run just fine. Think im gonna hook it up to a smoke machine to find the leak. Yeah the bov doesn't want to release any air at idle?? Maybe the bov is busted but I think a vaccum leak is the cause. THis all started at the track about a month ago... Ran a 13.6 though!!

Sup Jeff, I should be back soon!

Or you have a HKS SSQ BOV - which will never release air at idle.

Definite vacuum leak tho.

Just dropped the transmission lastnight! Had to start off in 4th. This is from a long term issue starting with a bad install on the clutch over 2 years ago....
Looking back the vaccum leak wasn't all that bad.

No. I have been looking around. Best price is $750 with 40k. Need to do something soon! I get 1, 2 4 and 5th gear but sometimes 1 and 2 get jammed up. Im not sure how bad the damage is but my 5th syncro has been broke for 2 years so thats still an issue so I need to take it to someone and GET R DONE!
