Lol your friend doesn't have a clue what he's getting into. Sign a contract with him saying he will install it for $700, and then about a month later after he's custom fabricated everything needed to get an M90 on there, buy him a case of beer to thank him.

It has been done (once), but it took a lot of work. It won't mount on top of the engine like on the GM.

Who was it that did it originally? I remember seeing pics and it was a pretty cool setup, just a lot of work.

Past member CraigMack. He got it up and running but totalled the car and moved on before he saw results from it.

Totalled the car on a test drive...he was having BOV issues and was trying to figure it out, stopped at a light, and got hit from a honda civic. That setup woulda been great. Really nice low end

Someone mind explaining why anyone would want more lowend in a Maxima... Centrifugal is the way to go on FWD cars.

I tend to agree. You get better efficiency with a cent. blower and you get more power up top where it's more usable.

But, torque=fun, even if you can't always use it.

Does anyone happen to know what his exact setup was? It seems to be extremely basic to me, and he doesn't let out too many details in that thread. The pictures aren't too great at giving anything away either...

Is it just M90 -> adapter plate/BOV -> MAF -> piping -> throttlebody ?

Seems really interesting, and I wasn't active enough here at the time he did that to really know anything about it

I think that was his setup, which is also why he was having problems.

The way to do a fixed displacement blower is:

MAF > TB > M90 > intake manifold

or

TB > MAF > M90 > IM

Interesting. That's pretty much what I gathered from reading the first 2 pages of the thread, but he didn't seem to want to mess around with the order things were in since he already had it put together.

That would be very interesting if somebody tried it again, except setup correctly. He kept saying he needed the BOV...did he really?

...and it's a little hard to tell from the pictures, but, did he just have a CAI tube going from the M90 inlet to his fender? All I see is a pipe, can't tell where it goes. Also, how did he have the pulleys where they were? Was he using some sort of custom bracket? And what pulley was he using in tandem with the supercharger pulley that I see there? (i.e. where did he get it)

I'm also curious as to how he made that longer snout. I'm not sure I quite understand how it works...My first impression was that it looked like a miniature version of a 2-piece driveshaft.

Bump...I'm curious, and would really like to know more about this stuff (if even just for the sake of knowing it).

the blower was mounted with a bracket above the tranny. a driveshaft was run to the opposite side of the motor.
