I think I broke an i30

v1 sc'ed 2.87 - mevi - jwt ecu - 370s

I took it on the highway to run a 350z. Wasted the Z, turned around on an exit...came back south - The Z followed me. I dropped it to 2nd from about 40mph...punched it again, and started to walk on him.

By the time I got off the highway, the car was smoking blue out of the exhaust and back of the engine.

What did I possibly do?

Blue smoke = oil. Were there any other symptoms like noises or loss in power or did it just start puffing blue smoke with no other indication of a problem.

that fck head broke the I30!!! I guess Ill be pedaling a F250 diesel truck to work then did not video tape the run. That engine was used. had about 160K and when I was installing the spark plugs to one step colder it had a bunch of oil inside the walls. That engine was on its way out. I do have 4 engines and about to get rid of two.

I have two choices, T trim upgrade like blu or go back to turbo since it is so much better since it pulls harder!!! I may be back to turbo in February. Right now I have no funds to do anything. I had to get another lawyer and drop over a grand. So now I have two lawyers. This divorce crap is killing me!!!! if it was not for that divorce I would have purchased a PFI kit from Nigel again.

smoke everywhere.....that, but it still pulls like a mother

We took it out yesterday to see how it would run, seemed to be reaching 11psi at 7100. But the cabin filled up with smoke SOO fast he had to let off.

FYI......I didnt break it.

How about , wow! Maybe that is why the car didn't feel the way it should besides for the blower needing rebuilt. Sounds like you pulled a fatality on Jays I30 Bijan. Jay, you might as well go for the turbo kit cause you will probably not be happy with the blower. Take the v1 kit that you have now and sell it to Bijan or Jeff.

My car is torn apart right now . I don't know what the hell is wrong with it but I figure I might as well put a new belt and idler pulley on, reseal my leaking chain drive case and just freshen things up for the boost season. Need to pull the plugs and figure out what the deal is.

the motor is shot. This is the 2nd motor that blows. I hope the MEVI screws did not fall in there again. The blower is not shot.

Ill be stepping out of the US for 2 weeks and will be back on the 18th just in time for the last day of NOPI.

When I get back I have to get rid of a couple of things and talk to Nigel to see whats the deal with another turbo kit

Maybe I can just make my own kit. I was thinking of getting the exhaust housing to be a V clamp or C clamp what ever that crap is called so I dont have to deal with bolts. Like the Supras. Also a 10PSI waste gate so I dont blow too much cheese on a Profec EO1. Neal was right you can source your own kit for under $2400.00. I owe the dude an apology

V-band clamp is the best. I can remove my downpipe in like 30 seconds with it. Go back to turbo. Turbo is good

.68 AR is awesome on the track and from light to light runs. I need a .81 AR. I want same setup T4/to4e. Non Ballbearing this time. I also have a basic idea of how I am going to water cool it this time.
