might be scrapping the turbo

im really thinking bout scrapping the turbo idea. i was tinkering with car today. was checking measurements so i can order the intercooler core. looks like you cant really put in decent size ic without either cutting or removing the bumper. could go with a small side mount but not sure how effective that would be. or could go with air to water setup but thats way too much. any ideas how to mount a good size ic without touching the front bumper? pics would help too.

Without touching it at all? Really wide but low profile one I guess.

You could do like a 7 or 8" and just have to cut part of it, not the greatest thing ever but better than removing the whole thing. Or you could do a custom radiator like mine and do a more vertical shape intercooler next to it.

you mean like a narrow radiator with the ic sitting next to it? show me pics if u have any. would be nicer too cause i really dont want to show any signs of the car being boosted.

A 30"x6"x3" will fit without cutting the bumper.

Above looks like a 24"x8"x3" or maybe a 24"x10".

The one above is definately an 8" I'd say. Hal had a 30x6x3 back in the day and it fit without cutting the bumper like SPiG said.
