I was wondering if somebody can help me out with this question that I have. In order to properly install a V1 supercharger on a 2000 or 2001, what hardware would have to be purchased besides the piping due to different throttle body location between the two generations? Also I am pretty sure that the plates are different as well, not to mention couple of other things that I need to makes sure of. I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help that I can get on this subject.

I'm confused. Hehe, j/k. Are you talking about more than the standard bypass valve (you're going to need it), FMU, Walbro, CAI, etc?
If we have to shim the plate too, I can help you out with that, but I don't foresee it.

Steve thank you for your reply, how is everything with you? Anyhow here is what I would like to do. I want to find a V1 kit, and install it on a 2001 early on next year. So I know I will have to find piping from a 5th. gen. kit in order to install it. Also I don't think I would want to have a CAI at that time, maybe down the road it will find. Also I would like to install a HKS BOV, so I am not too sure how that will go since I've asked before and some people said there might be some problem. Although I've seen some people change their BOVs that come with a Stillen kit to a different one. Other then a FMU and a Walbro, I am pretty clear on that. Last thing question about the plate, you say that we might have to shim the plate, so the V1 plate is going to work on 5th. gen. correct? Thank you very much once again.Originally Posted by slimer

We can test fit my v1 plate on your car. That would not be a problem.
The only thing is that you should really consider the cai and a bypass valve. Since 5th gen MAFs are weak, they need to have a draw through design. The bypass valve then puts metered air back into the area before the compressor. you would be wasting your time on the 5th gen intake piping.

The V1 plate will work on the 5th Gen motor. No shimming needed at alllOriginally Posted by Nismo98

what about the coolant line? V1 bracket requires a redirected coolant line. Instead of coming out at an angle it comes straight out

I just want to make sure that I won't have any problems with a V1 plate going on a 5th. Gen motor. Does anybody here have a V1 on 5th. Gen? Also what else might I need besides the piping in order to install a V1 on 5th. Gen.Originally Posted by matty

Thank you, Andrei
Today I sat there and thought about it. You can hack up the current 4th gen pipe by clocking the blower upward. Then you can hack off the pegs off the pipe. Install a empty hollow MAF and you can adjust the current pipes to bolt onto the 5th gen.
