My first SC problem
My first SC problem
I bought my V1 kit used with 60k miles on it, and I have since put another 50-60k or so, so 110-120k total miles on the kit. I have never had any issues with it whatsoever. My first belt lasted over 40k miles, and I only needed to change it because it was too long for the 2.87" pulley.
Last night I came across my first problem - a leaking oil feed hose. Not a bad leak, just a steady dribble from a spot about 10 inches from the blower oil feed fitting. I took it and the SC belt off and drove it NA today (I liked how quiet my car got without the blower, but I sure missed the extra power). I was able to get a replacement hose from a local speed shop for $28.

Nice.
I've had an oil leak form the oil drain for over a year now. I've removed the blower and tightened it down as much as possible as well as replaced the hose and clamps on the drain.
Still there.
Considered teflon taping the sucker - but I worry about teflon tape on my blower.

I always had trouble with teflon paste. I did have the same problem you did Stephen. I used a NOS fuel line instead and have had no problems since.
Ian, I also had your problem and removed that elbow. I used a -04 male adapter and looped the hose around the oil pan. I have not had a leak from the compression fitting since.
